Since I've been getting only rejections this cycle, I'm planning to reapply in the next. Do I need to ask my letter writers to resubmit letters to AMCAS website or can I get AMCAS guys to transfer the old letters to the new application?

This is where interfolio becomes handy. I don't think AMCAS can transfer LORs though I'm not 100% sure. If that's the case then you'd probably need to have your professors update at least the date, maybe a bit more on what you've done in the year, and submit them again. Good luck!

👍👍👍👍

Interfolio is a great resource for this purpose. You can hold your letters in your account as long as you keep it active.

Some schools I reapplied to required the letters be "updated" if they came from the same writer. Aka, they had to be new. But if you are applying to completely new schools, using the old ones shouldn't be a problem, but since AMCAS doesn't save letters, it's gonna be more work.

And yes, Interfolio is great for LORs

This. If they are not stored in a bank, such as inter folio, then you will need to ask your LOR writer if they can write you a LOR again.

Oh, maybe I misunderstood. You applied this cycle and submitted your primary and now you want to reapply for the next cycle this summer?

My advisor who wrote my committee letter just said I need to update my committee letter, but I can keep my LOR the exact same (especially because my LOR would not change if they were rewritten). Does that sounds correct? (also my premed advisors seem to be incompetent so I don't really put weight on their opinions)
