How does the Army know my Dental intentions?!!

I received a piece of mail from the army offering to pay for Dental school. This freaked me out a little bit. How did they find out I am even interested in Dental school. I am not even registered as a Pre-Dental student. I am registered as a Post-bac? Any ideas? Did you anything similar happen to anyone?

AADSAS and ADA pimp your contact information and some academic information. They also give the information to your undergraduate institution, along with DAT results. Recruiters regularly comb SDN as well. Typically the odd military loan for service thread comes up about once a month, revived by someone with fewer than fifty posts and a non-applicant to dental school. This person is a recruiter. Don't take it personally. The military needs dentists.

hotrod - you nailed it. I opened a account last year with AADSAS just to look around and familiarize but I did fill everything in for practice. That is the only source that officially knows that I am on the Pre-dental track. Those bastards are giving out my information!!🙄

I got my letter yesterday from the army. They must really think I'm great cause some army guy in a Humvee found me and hand delivered it to me. Thats how I got the picture for my avatar.

I work for a university now and the different branches of the military regularly make us give them all sorts of information about our students and applicants and we are required by law to do it.
