How Does Virtual Evals Work?

my school uses Virtual Eval for a composite letter of recommendation. however, on the secondaries I have seen, they dont really ask if our undergrad schools uses Virtual Eval or not, they just ask you to send in LORs. I dont get how the whole thing works, do all the med schools have access to Virtual evals and automatically look up your LORs that were posted by undegrad premed advisors?

I have been told that your school will be given an access code for your file, which they'll make available to the schools you applied to.
