So I know that for MD schools you need to get verified immediately and try to get your primary and secondary applications in asap. Is it the same thing with DO schools? What is considered an "early" application, if one exists? Is it a "copy-paste" from AMCAS or is it quite different? Are DO schools rolling admissions as well?

Thanks.

I haven't done the AMCAS in a while but they a quite similar. AACOMAS has a shorter character limit for the personal statement and the LOR can be sent with secondaries. I would say a lot of it is similar from what I remember.

Some schools have their primary deadlines in FEB... others sooner. Just like AMCAS you want to make you you get your stuff in ASAP.

Personally I'd consider "early" as anything before mid August.

Okay, but how important is it to get it in "early"? Are schools rolling admission? Do they operate similar to MD schools? If I complete my primary application and have it verified by beginning of July, is that early?

- It is important to apply early. For the same reasons it is important to apply early for MD schools.

- Some schools like AZCOM are rolling admissions. http://www.aacom.org/resources/bookstore/cib/Documents/2014cib/2014 CIB Complete Small.pdf

- Yes, that's early.

Did you recently decide you wanted to apply to DO schools?
