How early in advance do you have to sign up for DATs?

Hello,

I'm not familiar with prometric testing and I was wondering if anyone could tell me how many weeks in advance I have to sign up to take an exam.

I am sortof afraid to sign up just in case i'm not ready by the end of the summer.

Thanks! 🙂

It depends on your schedule and test center schedule.

I have a trip booked and paid for. I am gone @ end of june. I needed to be assured of a test date before my trip so I made appointment 3 months in advance.

So if you need a specific date then you should do it ASAP to be sure.

Plus at least for me with a date set, I know when I have to get down and study. None of this I can wait or I have more time excuse to do other stuff ie goof around.

Ugh. Okay. is two-three weeks in advance too late?

you have to register for a dentpin first, then when you get this you register for the dat, theyll send u ur eligibility letter on the closest tuesday from the day u applied. (yes creepy it only happens on tuesdays).
then from there u just simply go to the prometric website & find a date thats available that u want and thats all. however like the above poster said, spots generally fill up quickly in the summer so its best to plan in advance.

btw i could be wrong about the process above, any1 thinks so feel free to corrrect mehhh.

Yes you have to register for a dentpin then register to get an eligibility email. then you can make an appointment

However the eligibility letter comes usually the next business day. its not just Tuesday.

unless you're just trying to funny. studying can drive people crazy. I got my email last year on a friday, this year I got it on a monday. Both times I registered 3 months out from my vacation plans to be assured I'd get date I want.
