How early to apply for dat?

Hello fellow predents! How early must one apply before the desire date when he wants to take the DAT. I'm thinking of taking it sometime in May. How soon should I register? Thanks!

It takes a couple of weeks to get the verification letter. You then have one year to take the test before you need to reapply.

If you already know when you want to take it, you should just go ahead and start the registration process. By the time I got my letter that allowed me to register, the day I wanted to take the test was less than 2 weeks away and all the spots at my location were booked for that entire month, so I had to drive 3 hours to take it at the next closest location.

you don't need your verification letter to register. 2 days after you register with the ADA, goto 2test.com and register for the DAT. when they ask for your confirmation code/password just enter your SSN.

I had a very similar experience! The test centers fill up weeks and weeks in advance in some places but you can sign up for a test months in advance.

Do it now or you might have to travel just to take the test!
