hey guys so I know it's a huge advantage to apply early, and I wanted to ask about some specific dates.

I'm aware that the app opens on June 7th. All my ECs are entered, my PS is done, and my grades are entered manually. I am still waiting on a transcript to be delivered but that should get there within this next week.

When is the latest I can submit the primary applications to have the same effect as submitting them on the first day? For example, is there any difference between submitting June 7th vs June 12th? (to wait for my transcript to get received)

Also, I am waiting for my committee letter, and it likely will not be done until mid-July. Is this looked down upon to have the letter submitted one month after the applications are submitted?

When is the latest I should have my letter in to still be considered early?

Not to sound neurotic but I am a borderline applicant (3.83, 508) so I want my application to be the best it can be outside of the numbers.

Thank you!

Submit as soon as it opens. They'll verify your app as soon as they receive your transcripts. Don't worry about the committee letter. That's usually the last thing that needs to be in anyway. July isn't very late for everything to be complete. The biggest hurdle is applying early so you don't wait 6 weeks to be verified.

Check last year's AMCAS submission thread. As long as your application is verified before transmission begins (July 1 last year) you will be on the same page as those who submitted earlier.

I am wondering the same thing. Does a week or so really make a big difference?

No...And I could be totally wrong on this, but submitting as early as possible so you have time to pre-write tons of secondaries and are able to look them over numerous times over a course of a few weeks and make them the best you possibly can, and submit them ASAP as soon as you get the secondary could pay great dividends in the end.

Having the letters in by August 1st is ideal and having them in by Labor Day is fine.
Will the letters automatically be transmitted to our listed schools once AMCAS receives them or do we have to do something?

Sorry, hijacking this, and I'm fully aware this is major pre-med neuroses..if I submit on 6/8, is that really a disadvantage? I had hoped to submit as soon as AMCAS allowed, but got scheduled to work a scribe shift tomorrow and won't be able to submit until early in the morning on 6/8. I feel like this is fine, but then others on this thread/elsewhere on the internet say every moment is a moment wasted. Does one day really make a difference?

Sorry to do another hijack, but is there any benefit to submitting the app June 7 if my final transcript cannot be received until at least June 20? The admissions rep at my master's med school told me to submit day one even if the transcript isn't in yet, but from what I have read it seems that won't do me much of anything, as I can't get in line for verification until June 2o. She said something about schools being able to "see" I submitted June 7, which sounded odd to me.
