Hey guys,

New here. Coming to you desperate for help after a long year of MCAT failure. I have tried Kaplan, EK, and BR and after a long while of studying...I get hit with a 26 (P:8 V:10 B:8) which was what I was getting on my AAMC practice tests. I've gone through my "depression phase" and I'm thinking about hitting the reset button and starting over. I know that I should 'hit my weaknesses" but truth is...I have NO idea what my weaknesses are.

I've decided to go ahead and order the whole BR set and use that as my primary resource. I also have EK for biology as a supplement. I am hoping to take this bad boy in May 2013 so that's our target. I am taking three major level classes and I have Monday and Fridays that are completely free (along with weekends of course) so I am dedicating Monday's to major MCAT studying for sure. Not sure about the rest of the days yet.

My main question is....How the hell do I use these books. As I am sitting down, what exactly do I do with these books. Of course, I read them and do the countless passages but thats what I did last time and ended up with a 26 so I am doing something wrong. Can anyone break down how exactly I should be studying for this thing? I am so confused and for once during my MCAT studying, I have no game plan so Im lost

Try reading for mastery and understanding of the material, rather than just read. You must truly devote your time to understanding concepts and being able to apply them to different scenarios. Also look at sn2ed mcat study guide
