5 years is not correct for most schools. They generally have no limitations on this. Your scores on the DAT will reflect whether or not you still know the material.

No limitations (at most schools) in my experience. I took Gchem in '97, Ochem in '99, and all other prereqs were done before 2002. I had plenty of interviews and acceptances. I didn't apply to any TX schools though, so follow up on your email. It might be a good time to call now too, since interviews are likely over and things have slowed down in the admissions office.
