hmmmm
i'd say it depends on how much time you have left. if you only have a 2-3 wks, i wouldn't get them...if you have a month or more, they may be worth your time.

they are very detailed...but you definitely won't miss anything.

If you had a lot of time, then yes the Kaplan stuff is great. Most US grads, and most people on this forum don't use Kaplan because it's so extensive and they don't need that level of detail. If you studied during your first 2 years of med school, you should be able to zip past the Kaplan material quickly. Bewarned though, that they are 2700 pages in total.

The only Kaplan book I recommend is the Biochem book but even that book is dense. It's taken me 6 days to get through it!

The rest, I wouldnt bother in all honestly. Very detailed and it would take too long to go through; you're gonna need 2 months for those books. I would use something more succint ie brs and hy.

That's exactly what I did.. I actually used my scanner and shrank down alot of the figures in there and pasted them into my FA. I would box that off and By the time I was done there was almost no room left in my FA. Most people thought this was rediculous and thought that I should just read the kaplan books again. About 2 weeks before I my exam this was all finished and went over it about 4 times, which meant I was going over everything in FA and all the important points from Kaplan as well.

This took a really long time and alot of work. I think it worked well for me to have everything in one book because it helped me review alot of information in a short period of time.

The only book I didn't do this was pathology. The kaplan book for pathology is horrible. I had already used brs pathology during my pathology course anyways, so I just used that instead. The other kaplan books are really good, but as others have said, they take alot of time committment.

Good luck.
