Hey all,
I would appreciate some honest feedback so I don't overextend my pocketbook when apply for the 2015-2016 cycle.
I am a resident of Kentucky (have been living/working here for the past 3 years) and am primarily aiming for UK or U of L. I took the old MCAT in January (31, 11PS, 10VR, 10BS) and have two undergrad degrees, one in economics with a bunch of humanities (GPA 3.72) and one in engineering (GPA 3.69). I have been working as a medical scribe for a while and have about 3,000 hours in the ER. I have some volunteering (some in medicine, some unrelated). I also have a background in research, have been published in a medical journal (granted I was among a list of MD authors) and gave a poster presentation at the Kentucky Academy of Science.
From those of you who have been through this, am I at least relatively competitive at schools outside the top 50?
