how good is 89 ?

can anyone just tell me how good is 89 on new pattern considering the scores when compared to old pattern wud have been 94. plz smbody tell !
and whts the chances for a person wid standing at 87 ? whats best to do next ?

89 in the "new" format is NOT 94 in the "old" one. Please, stop misleading other people.

ok man sorry for that, i myself not clear abt that, got this confusion cos a fnrd got 324 questions right on old pattern and was scored 93 and this 89 is achieved by 326 correct answers on new pattern. Leave alone the jigsaw of various subjects. anyhow the answer didnt helped me wid either of my confusions : 89 good for Boston or California ?
Whats next best for person wid score of 87 ?
Mind it i am talking about foriegn trained dentist.

I am wondering, because prior Jan 2007 ADA didn't tell you your RAW scores.

Yea. You are correct, prior to january 2007 nobody was able to know his or her raw score----it is pretty clear.

It depends... I was told by a foreign dentist in USC last year that candidates with 90s were failing and some with 80s have been admitted.
So, just leave it... it's only an exam, a paper "lost" between many many other important papers in your file.
Like I've said a couple of months ago: NBDE by itself won't let you get in, and period! It's your whole file that will determine "them" to call you for the interview. And then, if they like you, and you prepare well the teeth, you will be granted acceptance. It's a two-stage process.
Believe me, I know what I am talking about.
