how hard is it to get scholarships from dental schools based on merit?

Lets say you have:

Cum GPA: 3.95 Sci GPA: 3.95

and you get like an avg of 22s on the DATs with a 19-20 on the PAT

That'll get you a few thousand from Tufts. Merit scholarships are generally pretty hard to come by since nearly everyone admitted to school has very good stats. Best of luck though.

the merit scholarship for incoming students is based on their competitiveness to the rest of the incoming class. That said, the difficulty of attaining a merit scholarship depends on the school in questions. For the competitive schools you will need very high gpa, which you have, and high DAT scores, which you also have.

It also depends how early you apply, becuase once the scholarship money is gone, you will not get shi* even if your grades are stellar.

personal ex. I received the Deans Merit scholarship for Tufts but so far have not received anything from UCLA. My stats: undergrad gpa: 3.45, grad gpa: 3.81, DAT: AA -22, PAT - 23.

Hope that helps.
