How hard is the actual DAT compared to Kaplan

I would say kaplan is good way to practice for real DAT.

There is no best representative materials.

It's all about how you get accustomed to the real DAT environment.

If you practice more problems and know how to manage the time on the test

date, you will definitely score high.

Do many problems and practice many times.

When I compare the Kaplan tests to the actual DAT I think they are about the same. BIO seemed a little easier on the real DAT to me, but Kaplan does not represent the angles portion of the PAT very well. The angles are considerably harder on the real DAT

You may score similar or better on the real DAT's sciences compared to Kaplan.
Kaplans PAT is too easy.
I didn't do their reading.
Their math is close but doesn't have the variety of the actual DAT.

The DAT was pretty good on the science portions.
The bio section had some crazy questions though that weren't covered by Kaplan's material.
Kaplan prepared me well for Ochem though.
Math had several stats questions that weren't covered by Kaplan. Which kicked my score down since I had only take one class on stats ever.
The PAT was easier on Kaplan. I recommend Crack the DAT PAT software. It's worth it. The angle questions were pretty simple on Kaplan, but definitely harder on the actual DAT.
