I know that this question has probably been asked before...but as I gather information and start applications to post bac programs i am wondering how important SAT scores are in the grand scheme of things.

Almost all of the schools I am applying to require a submission of those scores, and i don't remember my score, but i know it was not phenomenal at all. (either is my spelling of the word phenomenal, haha)!!

Is it worth it to apply to schools that require a "certain" score if I do not have that score but the rest of my qualifications are good? I just do not want to waste a bunch of money in application fees!!

I know that the Temple program for instance wants the SAT scores as well as other scores...so maybe they are very important..the question is if its your recent score...if not then they probably want you to take other standardized tests like the GREs or the MCATs...of course you do not take them until you are ready...

so my best advice to you would be to call/email each school individually and ask them personally how they structure their program and the importance of the SAT score..

Don't worry too much about it. Your undergrad will count for much more than SAT. If you feel you are not competitive, I'd study and take the GREs to show them what you can do now.
