How Important are Semester Hours?

hey guys,

I wanted to do my pre-reqs at an undergrad U, but the semester hours for bio and chem there are less than schools like UCLA and UMDNJ need, will this be an issue? Is there a difference between 8 hour BIOs and 6 hour bio lectures n labs? Will this impact applications? Please share your experiences with me. Thanks.

First of all how about you tell us what school it is!!!

The two bio lectures w/labs are normally 4 credits each. Even AP bio exams in high school grant 8 hours!

Just about every school's website has the admission requirement and state that you need (8) hours of Biology w/lab.

we should close this thread i made a mistake... the school where im going has 4 credits for bio n chem sorry all.
