Hey guys,

So if scheduling isn't ideal, but i mean workable...and money could be found for airfare..does anyone know how worth it is 2nd look really is? How much of a class that ends up matriculating actually attends 2nd look? i'm so conflicted..and probably need to act soon to book tickets if i decide to go! why is airfare so expensive...

If you're sure you're going to go to that school, I'd save your money.

If you're still making a decision, it's probably a worthwhile investment.

It may be worth it just to meet your future classmates 🙂

I don't plan on going to ANY second-look days. Now if a school wanted to pay for my travel... 😛

yea i guess you guys are right..i'm pretty set on going to the school, maybe between one other school but it would purely be a different type of decision not related to second look i guess. And meeting classmates, there's always orientation 🙂

I plan on use second look weekend to look for potential roommates and get an early idea on where to live. I've already decided on where I'm going, so it'll be great to get to know some of my future classmates (and hopefully I can see myself being with them for 4 years)

Second look could allow you to critically judge things about the school, the housing, the neighborhood, etc., that you really had no time to consider on interview day. Thus I think a second look for the school you are pretty sure about could still be quite helpful.

If as it has been suggested most of the people who go to second looks are the undecideds, you may not get an entirely accurate picture of who your classmates will be...a general picture, but not an exact picture...so I wouldn't go just to look for a roommate since so much of that sort of thing can be accomplished via facebook or even SDN.

I think it's worth the money, even if you're certain you're going to go there.

I have a pretty good idea about where I'm going to matriculate, but I'm going to second look to meet possible roommates and get a feel for where I want to live. Sure, it's going to be expensive to fly from California to the east coast. But when I move in the Fall I'll already know a few people from 2nd look and I'll possibly have a roommate and place to live lined up. That should make moving and adjusting to school a little easier.
