Based on my plan for graduation, I won't really be able to fit Biochem into my schedule. Is it worth it to take it at a community college or something after I graduate? Or am I okay without it?
I think it depends on where you are applying. Some med schools want to see biochem and others only recommend it. I found biochem to be very useful - nothing you can't learn from reading a textbook tho.
I'd take it if you have the chance. If not, then just don't apply to schools that require it. Take a look at the MSAR or the websites of the schools you're applying to and see if it's required or just recommended.
It seems more and more schools are shifting from recommended to required for biochem. It may be worth it, and could be helpful for the MCAT if you haven't taken it yet.
