My study abroad experience in China mostly focused on Chinese culture and so I would just write about how it allowed me to gain confidence interacting with a diverse range of people. Would the space I use for it be better off spent on something more dental/volunteer related if I'm running low on space?

Thanks!

I mean, if it was just a semester abroad type thing then I'd agree with the mention it briefly, but if it was more of an intensive program like Fullbright or similar, that'd be a lot bigger deal.

I personally didn't mention mine just because I couldn't really find a way for it to connect... I hope to be able to bring it up during interviews though!
My trip was for marine biology so it didn't really do anything for me dental wise other than convince me that even though the ocean is awesome, it's not where I want to spend all of my energy. If you think you can find a way for it to connect then go for it
