I'm a graduating senior, and have been offered a part-time research technician position. Because of the commute, I'm not sure the job itself is worth it. However, I've thought about accepting it, purely because I have nothing else -- currently -- to put on the "future plans" section of the TMDSAS application, just an ongoing volunteer teaching position I've been doing since high school and possibly more shadowing.
I've applied to other jobs, but I'm not sure I'll get a better job offer (or even an interview) before applying late May/early June.
How bad is it to have a relatively empty "future plans" section? I don't want to pre-emptively put "research technician" without accepting the job offer, because, well, what if I REALLY don't get any other offer before interviewing?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
