how important is volunteering and extra curric?

I know schools in the states factor in volunteering and extra currics, but how do the top 3 schools in the carribean look at them? I have well above the average g.p.a for carribean schools if that helps.

Not as important as it is in the US/Canada but they want you to know what a real doctor does all day (so you know that fictional television shows and movies are not even close).

They are taken into consideration.
