I was trying to find a journal from 1988 today, only to find that the school didn't take stock of the journal until 2002 :-/ Just a slight problem, but it got me thinking....

Anyway, I was wondering how big most med school libraries are, and if many bother to have huge journal collections. I guess it's a moot point in this age of digital text.

Awful. All the big journals are there, but anytime I have to do a literature review for a subject 80% of the journals are always not available, so unless it's a common topic it can be tough. On the other hand, there is a document delivery service so anything that isn't available can be emailed to you within a week.

Middle of the road medical school:
Not a lot of hardcopy articles, but great e-database access. Nearly all articles are immediately available. I submitted an obscure request to the library and received my article in 2 days.
