For UC Med Schools (aside from probably Davis and Riverside) don't really show a clear favoring for California residents like they do for undergrad (I've read that most med applicants in California end up having to go OOS). Is this the case for dental schools as well? I'd definitely love to consider UCLA or UCSF dental programs!

Thanks.

Are you sure? Because your status says pre-medical. Both are extremely competitive for OOS, only about 15 slots for 1000ish applicants. Furthermore, both have mean DAT scores of 21-22, so if you don't score above this then its going to be a long shot.

Although about 80% of students to UCLA and UCSF are in fact CA residents, I would say that both of these two schools are among the top 10 most difficult to gain admission to in the country. Whether that means they are instate friendly/unfriendly is really up to you...
