How is a comeback on an application viewed?

I'll keep it short, straight, and to the point. I did TERRIBLY in High School. Grades 10 & 11 I basically pulled 50/50 D/Fs. Senior year was non-existent, I completely dropped out. I went on 2 years later to get my GED. 2 years after that, I'm sitting at a 3.8 sGPA/cGPA. Even though a comeback is in the making, will this affect my odds long term at a shot to medical school?
