So basically, I had a manuscript. My co-worker told me it was accepted, but it is actually in another round of revisions.

In my secondaries, I spoke about it as if it was accepted.

Am I cooked?

I am so scared now. pls

Generally, the editors don't ask for revisions unless they intend to publish "pending revisions". Of course, this also assumes that the authors will make the requested revisions. You did not deliberately lie, you made a statement you believed to be true that turned out to be incorrect. There is a difference. Don't worry about it. Things will unfold, as they do, and it is likely that this will be approved for publication about the same time you are getting interviews. If you are asked specifically, and the paper is still pending revisions, you can briefly explain that the paper needs revisions and will go to press shortly thereafter.

I would clarify with your co-worker where it is.

"Accepted pending minor revisions" is definitely a thing. It means it has been accepted, but still needs revisions before publication.
This is most definitely where it is, there would be no confusing if was "Accepted with major revisions" or just "Major revisions required" as OP would be scrambling to do revision experiments at this very moment.
