Does each question have certain point that adds up to 30 per section?

or is it like SAT where missing 2~3 questions still gave 700 out of 700?

It is standarized so it will depend of how everyone else does. However, there is a rough breakdown at the end of the practice test on the ADA website.

so if I want to get 22 or higher on Genchem, OCHEM, bio, I cannot miss more than 2~3 on each?

I don't know think that's fair.
there are 30 OCHEM questions, and it's out of 30 points so i think taking more than 1 points off per a wrong answer is just too much.

Life isn't fair. I've heard ochem is one of the easiest sections. Just don't miss any and you won't have to worry about it. 🙂

so I guess it's the competition between missing 0~4 questions range that gives over 20. It's gonna be tougher than I thought 🙁

yeh..missing 1-4points can drag you down to a 20 easily.....this sucks..!!

and then I am actually surprised that most people get over 20, that means they are near perfect.

It is true the curve is very tough, but the questions are very easy. All doable. How else do you think people are only missing 2 and 3 questions...

So true. You still have to know the basic material really well - because of time constraints, you won't be able to take a lot of time on each question. But I think a lot of people on here study waay more detail than they need. Especially in bio. As my kaplan instructor put it, the body of material you need to know is very broad but also very shallow.

Also there is the possibility that even if you get nothing wrong (100%) you still may only get a 29 for the chem section.
