oGPA - 3.4, sgpa - 3.31, AA 20, PAT - 18, TS - 22. I am a Florida resident and I have about 68 CC credits. So b/c of my CC credits & below average GPA, I came up with this list. What do you guys think? Feel free to add/delete any. Thanks!

hello there you've got good stats right there...you can chose whatever schools you like...you'd probably get numerous interview so e-submit now!!

Did you submit your app? If not, do it now!
I guess your list is reasonable with your stat!!!
Good luck~

Just found out....tufts has limitations of 30 CC & I have 68. Should I even bother applying there? Yea i wanna submit it fast but I need to make sure my list is right.

I would try calling them just to make sure...I've been checking threads here about Tufts... they're tough/strict about those CC's (they may just eat your supp fee) I applied to them last year. Since I did mine in CC's I'm not bothering to apply there. I called BU since they mentioned also they wanted University credits but they said they consider some CC's credits as well so I applied to that school

How about Columbia? not in ur list eh?

haha! columbia is a big shot for me. I would rather spend that money applying to other school where I do have a shot. Yea I am a lil iffy about boston as well, they said 30 CC credits but I have 68 uh!

Maybe add Louisville and Case Western, and take out a couple schools that are strict about CC hours

You seem to have a pretty good list. Another good school to add is Louisville.

One more question. Should I remove Buffalo from the list? Their last cycle's avg gpa was 3.61, just noticed that. I am well below their average. Should I rather replace it with Case? I think Buffalo prefers higher GPA rather than DAT if I remember correctly. Thanks!

Out of my list following schools has limitations of maximum of 60 cc credit hours. Do they strictly follow this rules? I am asking b/c I have 68 cc credit hours.

Louisville
Boston - this one says 30 CC ...should I apply here?
Buffalo
Case
VCU

Guys I would really appreciate your help, I don't wanna waste my money & time by applying to these schools if I don't even meet their requirement. Thanks!

Mstoothlady2012!

About Tufts. They are really strict about CC courses. You can apply there and get accepted with those cc courses. But the problem is you have to retake the cc prereq courses at a 4year univ before the fall 09.

About Case. They already started giving out invites/rejections. If you go predents.com and see those stats who got rejected from case, it's like they are more focusing on GPA this cycle.

I could be wrong about Case, but Tufts, they emailed me about it.

So what, if i went to a private college but not a university i cant get into to Tufts???

What exactly is a community college???
community college is a 2-yr college. It provides AA but can't provide bachelors. Hmm not sure abt private colleges.

Thanks! yea it kind of looks like that to me too. The people that Case rejected have pretty solid stats. Case is so unpredictable. Its better if I don't apply there. Do you know anything about boston?

You might want to think about UMKC, last year they had 1,000 applicants (quite a bit less than Case, Nova, Tufts) and they still accept 34 out of state residents.

A couple more that you might want to look into are Pittsburgh and Creighton. They accept quite a high number of out of state residents. It is hard to say though.

yea but look at their avg GPA, I am well below their average.

same thing. Their avg gpa are above mine.

If I was you I would switch Arizona with Creighton. There GPAs are similar, but Creighton has a better out of state acceptance rate. The only way I would keep Arizona is if you have tons of service. That is what they focus on the most. At least 150 hours is what I have heard from others.

Thanks! yea you are right! I removed arizona from the list, but i am not gonna add creighton coz it has higher avg gpa than mine ( even higher than arizona)

If they have a set allowed CC hours, I'd avoid it. You'd rather watch that money burn because it's easy to reject someone when 1000's of other applicants might meet their requirements.

but most of the schools have that requirement. I could only find about 6 that do not. I think I am going to call each school and ask them what I should do. Thanks! let me know if you have any school in mind that doesn't have that requirement.
