My method for RC is to read one paragraph and look and answer all the questions that i can answer. Then, i would move on to the next paragraph, look at the questions then answer, so on and so forth.

I can do this pretty effectively with kaplan blue book since i have all the questions right there in one page. But, im just curious to know how the RC section is structured in the real thing. Since, it is on computer and all, i thought i would ask this question.

Thank you so much in advance!

u see questions one question at a time, and u can always view the passage, but you cannot highlight/mark/save your spot in the passage from question to question

so, do you see the passage and a question simultaneously? or is it just a question per page?

will my method be problematic or time consuming? since it requires me to flip back and forth between questions and passage?

its like this assuming topscore, kaplan, cdr and achiever are all correct. I'm gonna say they are.

you are 1st presented a passage similar to the paper.

after click next you are presented with the 1st question and the passage is again below in a scroll box.

click next will bring you question 2 and again passage is below.

It repeats until you finish with all the questions for 1st passage and passage 2 will begin like passage 1.

you should try out your method with some test sim program to know for sure. everyone has their own method and no method is foolproof as we each have different english and reading skills.

The actual format of the RC is pretty much identical to the DAT RC format from what I remember from my last retake.

what are some of the RC sim-programs out there? crack DAT RC? are achiever and topscore computer programs as well? (i know its a dumb question)

Topscore, Achiever, and CDR are have computer based RC tests.

Topscores were fairly similar in terms of length and difficulty to the real test. I did all three.

I didn't get around to using my Achiever and CDR because I felt good about my strategy after using Topscore.

Achiever's passages are longer than the actual DAT and CDR has more conceptual/inference/tone questions - which might be good if those questions are harder for you.
