How is Step 1 standardized?

I should get my Step 1 scores Wednesday.

Just wondering, what does it mean that the test is "dynamically generated" for each taker? Are all the questions chosen in advance, or do the subsequent blocks depend on our performance during the previous blocks? Also, since someone might get a relatively easier test compared to someone else, how are the scores standardized?

I think it's randomly chosen and i think the grading happens by the percentage of people that get the number of questions right? sorta like UW. I have no idea. Anyone else?
