How is the QR section on the real DAT?

Thought it was pretty hard lol. My real score was on the lower range of my bootcamp scores.

Not sure if it was because the exam was harder, or because I choked. I like to think that it was the former, but who knows lol

i felt my qr exam looked like dat bootcamp. but it depends on which version you get. it will all vary, some are harder than others. I felt it was way easier than math destroyer. i thought the math easier than both the 2007 and 2009 DAT. i got a 23qr on the real dat. i never got higher than a 21 qr during practice

this is coming from someone who hated studying for QR. do math destroyer and all 10 bootcamp qr exams and youll be fine. do not spend time on hard questions. if you cant get it, mark an answer and move on. there are always easy questions at the end. dont miss easy questions bc you spend too much time on harder ones you would have gotten wrong anyway. QR is all about manangin time and crunching numbers as fast as possible

Amen to that. I ran out of time with one algebra question left that I knew for sure I would've gotten right if I had an extra minute to do, but I didn't even have enough time to attempt it because I spent a little extra time on harder questions. I got a 21 in qr and that question may or may not have been the difference between a 21 and a 22, not that it really makes a difference, but just so you have an idea.

I personally thought my qr was easier than any of my practice tests, I'm not really good at math or anything. Others here say that theirs was hard, so it really depends on the test you get. It's something that is out of your hands, so best thing you can do is prepare as much as you can with bootcamp and math destroyer. Don't force yourself to finish all of the practice tests, just get good at the ones you actually finish. I never scored higher than a 19 qr in bootcamp.

like this person above , you can see both of us never did well on practice QR. i highly recommend doing all 10 bootcamp qr tests. i did 5 when i did my full length practice and left the last 5 for the week before my exam. QR is more timing than anything. you got this!

Personally, I felt it was relatively easy, but slightly more time consuming than some of the practice tests.

I averaged around 18-20 on bootcamp and ended up doing better on the real thing. I actually found a few questions on the real exam to be confusing, but overall it's similar to Bootcamp

For those that took the DAT already!
I was getting 21~22's on bootcamp (on one of the practice tests, I got 26) but I got 18 on my actual DAT. It was indeed a big disappointment. I wouldn't say it was much harder but I guess I was really nervous and ended up wasting a lot of time by panicking; I had to guess like on 7ish questions because I ran out of time and I couldn't even mark my answers on a couple questions.. due to lack of time.

Finallyyyy , someone that scored lower than bootcamp . Thought I was the only one

For me, Destroyer was harder than the real thing. Bootcamp was pretty much on par with the real thing, but then again, I feel I had an easier test overall. There were maybe two questions I had to mark and come back to.

The best advice I got about QR was from my Physics professor. He had us do mostly mental math and not use our calculators in class, being quick at mental math and estimating really helps for the real deal.
