How you guys think about this program? Any feed back from PD? Looks to me, the program is good, but location is kind of isolated. Any comment?

Personally I really liked their program. I received a follow-up letter (rather long) from the PD basically saying that he considers me a very competitive applicant. I intend on ranking them very high.

Thought the program was first rate. Liked the PD. Got the letter you mentioned. Thought the hospital was state-of-the-art. Good housestaff. Was told the pathology was good.
Anybody see a downside?

I am an MSIV Wake Forest and I love the program here. The faculty are excellent, and have been very accessible to me as a med student. I think the residents are generally a great group of people, very capable but still friendly and laid-back. It's a big hospital with a huge catchment area so you get lots of bread-and-butter stuff but also some rare and very cool things that don't come along very often. Also, it's super cheap to live here!
