When is the absolute latest someone should consider taking the mcat if applying in the current cycle?
I've already taken the mcat once and just got my scores back, 29. Completely rattled because most of the practice tests I've taken have been much higher. I submitted my application a few weeks ago and it's still waiting to be reviewed. Overall my application is quite solid, except that my gpa's a little low due to unfortunate events that happened while I was in school. So I'm relying more so on my mcat; I know that I can get around a 36/37. I haven't studied since I took the exam though, so I do want some time to really get ready again.
Would taking the exam in September be too late? Or would it be better just to withdraw the application before it is reviewed and apply next cycle? Also if I would end up withdrawing the app, does anyone know if at least part of the amcas app fee is refunded?
