I think I already know the answer, but what do you guys think?
I have an interview with NYU on Nov 23rd. Will I find out the decision on Dec 1st?

When I was on the phone to schedule my NYU interview, the lady told me that with an interview on Nov 23rd, I mightttt hear back on Dec 1st, but even if I don't, it will be within days after. I ended up scheduling mine for the first week of December, and she said I will get a decision within two weeks.

From past threads, pre-Dec interviews that were acceptances were almost always notified on Dec 1st, waitlists and rejections, not so much.

I think as long as you interview before dec. 1st you will be considered for admissions on dec 1st. But asking wouldn't hurt.

Anything pre-december you find out Dec 1st I believe

Today, I called NYU to schedule an interview on December 1st. They told me I would hear an acceptance "within the week." Given this, it's very likely you'll hear December 1st.

I'm surprised they are doing interviews on the 1st. I would think they would be busy calling all the new acceptances! Hearing quickly after a post-Dec 1st for acceptances is pretty common, especially any Dec interviews with the Jan notification date.

If you get in you will almost definitely hear. I was fortunate to be accepted on 12/1 last year and I was called by the Dean of Admissions by 9 am.

Were you called from NYU? Just wondering b/c I thought NYU doesn't make calls..just emails?
