how long after interview?

hello all please hear me out.


Ok, had an interview on 6/14.

at the time the director told us there were 12 spots left for the class of 2016.
Also, after the interview, the person told me privately that the interviewers were impressed with me and left positive remarks.

So i assumed I had a decent chance to get in, right?

BUT i haven't heard back anything yet. Its been more than 10 days!!

I called them last friday, and a gentleman told me that my file is still "pending"

I called the director this morning, and the person said, the committee will meet by the end of this week.



I am just curious, are they really telling the truth?


I thought, naturally, since it is near the end of the cycle, the decision process would be faster! not slower! I see that usually people hear back after interview within a week!


Am I just rejected but they are not telling me that for whatever reason?


sorry for the rant, but I am really frustrated and anxious!!!

It may just mean that they may accept you but they are trying to see if there are other candidates that are more competitive to fill their last few spots. With these things it can mean a myriad of things. If I were you I would just wait it out and hope for the best. Goodluck.

You must also take into accounts of alternates they may accept at the end of the cycle
