How long after submitting on June 1st and May 1st(TMDSAS) did it take for them to varify you?

They said it would take up to 4 weeks for TMDSAS and I am just wondering if anyone have gotten it verified earlier than that. I planned on taking mcat April 22 and receiving my scores May 22nd, and by that time I would have already submitted my primary application on May 1st. So I am hoping that they take about 3 weeks to verify and it can match up with when my scores come back so there would be no delay in my application being reviewed by the medical school. Does this sound like a solid plan or should I take test April 6th.

Thank you~

Hold off on submitting your TMDSAS app until you get your MCAT score on May 22. It's not advisable to send your app to the schools until you get your score.

It's fine to take the April 22 MCAT and submit your TMDSAS app on May 22. I took the April 22, 2017 MCAT, submitted on May 23, and it was verified and transmitted on June 6.

NOTE: My app actually took longer because of extenuating circumstances, so yours might get verified faster than two weeks depending on the # of apps TMDSAS receives.

Here’s the data from some years ago for AMCAS

Here is the graph of submission date vs verification time for this year (spreadsheet here). I am keeping the data updated as new posts are made in the verification thread. This graph is dynamically linked to the graph in Google Docs, so as data is entered in the spreadsheet, this post should stay current.

Here is the same chart, but only counting business days, and including a linear trend line as well.

For comparison's sake, here is a graph that user Runican made from last year's SDN thread.

And here are the graphs from AMCAS for verification times for the last four years. I notice that for last year and the year before they made it business days rather than just days. I wonder if that was to minimize the difference from prior years?

Hope this helps someone. I know I always appreciate having access to solid, well-organized data.

I was thinking to just put down one of school that I am not particularly inclined to go to just so I can get verified earlier and then once the scores come in May 22nd, I send it in as my application (sent in on May 1st) is getting verified.

The throwaway school is a good option for AMCAS because there are so many schools.

But for TMDSAS with 10 or 11 schools, submitting in May or June is considered early and submitting without a MCAT score in hand is risky since if you don't get the score you desire, you will be considered a reapplicant, which is another hurdle.

That is very true, I did not consider the small pool for TMDSAS, however, wouldnt they take around the end of may to varify anyways and by that time I would update my application with my MCAT score and all the scores would receive my scores and primary all at once? Or am I missing something, possibly that you can not update your application durring varifcation?

Sigh..you do you.

I can not continue to figuratively beat my head against the wall and again explain the risk of submitting the TMDSAS app for verification without knowing your MCAT score. And no, once you submit your TMDSAS app, with the exception of certain parts, you will not be able to make corrections during verification.
