Hi,

Does anyone recall how long the average dental interview lasts (including tours, waiting, etc)? I can tell already that it can get pretty hectic scheduling multiple interviews.

It takes about 6 hours so just plan on one interview per day.

My interviews took about 5 to 6 hours. Most starting in the morning around 8 or 9am and went until the afternoon. Usually the last thing was an optional sit in on a class. I would not recommend doing more than one per day (even in the same city). Besides, it nice to take a look at the city you are in and get a feel for it, because you could be living there for the next 4 years. I loved Omaha, Milwaukie, Boston, and a few others. Good Luck!!

5 or 6 hours?? What all do they ask you?

actual interview... about 15-30 minutes per person... The rest of the time you are hearing about financial aid, touring the school, eating lunch, meeting current students, meeting current faculty... just routine stuff to get you familiar with the school... mine was 8-1 if my memory serves me right

Thanks for the help!

Each school will send you a letter with an interview itinerary...many schools will also hint at what you need to know for the interview...In addition, there is an entire section of this website designated to interview feedback. There you can read about the interview, questions asked, students, faculty...even what they serve you for lunch...
