How long can I/should I take for STEP 2 CK?

Hello, I was wondering how long would it take me to do Kaplan videos and First Aid together with Uworld to study for the STEP 2 CK? Do you guys thing it will take me more than 4 months? I am undecisive if to go for the test this december, or if to wait until january-february. I already took STEP 1 on the 17th of June, so things are a bit fresh, and I am an IMG, so I do not lack the clinical experience/knowledge really.

If I go for january-february, I am planning on studying some 4-6 hours a day, skipping a couple of days for work and rest. And if I take it on december, I would do 6 hours a day minumum, but I would not be working. What do you guys think?

Just my 2 cents, the step 2 Kaplan videos aren't anywhere even remotely as good as the step 1 videos... Get Step Up to medicine if you have four months on your hands. It's way better than Kaplan for this test.

I will check that book. But I am wondering if there is any video course better thank kaplan? and that I can do in 4 months? I have the time, I can get some 6-8 hours of studying.

Doctors In Training Is Supposed To Be Really Good. There are Also videos Online OnThe med-ed site That i Can Recommend.

to which med ed website are you referring? I google searched it but there appear to be numerous ones... and which videos on there do you recommend?

Just wanted to chime in - I actually really liked the Kaplan videos. I didn't use them for Step 1, so can't compare, but I thought they were helpful and worth the time.

Good to know. I am going to do them anyway. How long did they take you? and how many hours a day did you invest. I am planning on doing them in 3-4 months, together with Uworld questions, and the last month maybe do DIT as a revision.
