2 months and change

I want to know how the "1 month crew" did on the DAT.

I studied for 10 days, albeit for 8-9 hours a day, and got nothing lower than a 17, my AA was also 17.

The OC and PAT make me wish I'd spent a little time refreshing major orgo concepts, and familiarizing myself with the PAT format. Got the job done in the end, though. :D

good job man

The day before the DAT I skipped all my classes and called in sick to work. I don't remember my exact scores anymore (they were around 21 or 2)l but my percentile was 92 for the AA and 97 for the PAT.

I'll tell you one thing. If all applicants were like SDN users, I think it would be impossible to get into dental school

I want to see scaned scores and not take peoples word for them. I bet all these high scores make people with scores like 18 feel like crap and make them think they won't get in.

Oh well...

I studied for five minutes in the car, with a hangover and large blister on my ass, before I went into the Prometric testing center and got the following:

AA: 26
PAT: 22

Exactly.

I am sure there are a lot of smart people here; I do not consider my self one of them, but I think 3 or 1 day to study is worthless. Why brother.

Since my GPA was ****, I studied for the DAT for 3 months because it was likely the most important test in my life.

Academic was all 18s and 19s.
Studied 4 days....about 4 hours a day.
And studying did help.

I didn't study at all, except chalk carving (Canadian DAT)

Bio: 20
Chem: 18
Reading: 19
AA: 19
PAT: 22
Chalk carving: 26 (1st time) --> 16 (2nd time)

I don't know how different Canadian & US DATs are in terms of contents, but for Can DAT studying doesn't help too much.
there are lot of things that aren't covered by Kaplan and also by profs in 1st yr general bio/chem... there are some weird, alien questions....

I disagree with most of these posts. I think you guys are giving others the wrong idea. Great for you if you studied for 3 hrs and got >25 on everything, but you are the exception. For most people the DAT is a serious exam that may or may not keep them from entering dental school. Because the DAT is a standardized exam practice usually improves peoples scores exponentially.
The science sections are no more than memorization and the PAT is practice, practice, practice to get familiar with the problems.
Not that's it's impossible to study less than a week and score high, but I think most of you 1 day studiers are full of Sh-t!!!
my 2 cents1
