For the lecture part of your chemistry, biology, or physics course - How many hours do you spend in class?

For all of my science courses, I spend 2 hours and 30 minutes per week in class, for which we cover a chapter weekly. Is this standard? It seems my professor flys through the material, barely taking a breath between sentences. I am finding that listening to podcasts from other schools fills in the gaps.

About the same for me.

We spend three hours in class per week, but the amount of material varies by class. Most of our lectures are not straight lecture, and many small group discussions are involved. The professors always stop for questions. All in all, we tend to cover 1.5-2 chapters per week in both biochemistry and immunology...it's a fast pace. Then again, we don't always cover every section of every chapter.

if it weren't for classes i wouldn't get any sleep
