I got a paper accepted last november in a dermatology journal, but it isn't published yet.it has not even appeared in the "early online" section of the journal's site.I wrote to the editor 2 months ago and he said they have a backlog of papers and mine is in que.
now is it normal to take this long or i've just lost my paper?

It depends on the journal. JBC, for example, puts the paper online the day after it's aceepted. Some lower-tier journals can take up to a year. My general rule is this: expect around six moths to pass from time of submission to time for first online publication. You should contact the editor.

Thanks dude
