How long does the DO Cycle Last?

I was wondering how late interviews for schools usually go. I'm guessing it really depends on the school. I was told the cycle goes till March or April. Does that mean that interviews will go till March or April. When is the latest you will typically hear for an II ... January?

I think it is really school dependent. For reference, I got 6 IIs at the beginning of this month with interview dates spanning from a few days after the invite was sent out and up until late April.

I applied in early October, and I’ve had complete silence from two-thirds of my schools. It’s probably a really busy time in the cycle, because they’re interviewing people, accepting people, making sure the classes don’t overfill, etc.

I think it’s understated here how important it is to apply early.

Yeah, I figured it was worth a shot since November is still reasonable for DO. I guess applying early with an updated app will be the next step.

Last cycle I applied on the last possible dates for 2 DO schools (Feb 1 and March 1) and got into both of them. I interviewed a few weeks after submitting my secondary. The cycle for DO definitely lasts longer than MD.

No, I'm at an MD school now
