How long for ck results

I have seen that most folks have been getting theirs 3 wednesdays after the exam. This is the 4th wednesday after mine and still no score report released per the NBME website. Anyone know if its been taking longer recently? I am starting to get paranoid.

I took CK in April and my score report was printed on exactly the 4th Wednesday after the exam. I received the report exactly 4 weeks from the day I took the test. If I remember correctly though, the NBME website updates every evening, NOT during the day. So if it's your 4th Wednesday since the exam you should check there again tomorrow and I bet it'll say your score report was printed today.

I heard some freakishly fast score reports back in September through November of 2005. I heard of people getting their score reports, by mail, in less than 3 weeks. Thus, the school must have gotten them electronically in even less time than that! Supposedly, the new FRED software helped speed up the process, though it may have also been faster because ther were not too many test-takers in that time range. The onslaught of 16,000+ Step 1 test takers is about to begin, so one would expect score reporting to slow down a bit, maybe until July or August (which is when I take Step 2, so I better get my results fast!!).

I was wondering if there is a "worst case scenario" for getting score reports back...as in the max number of weeks it took.

The issue at hand is that I am planning to take CK at the end of the 2nd week in Dec, and want results available to residencies by the time the programs' rank list goes in (which apparently happens sooner than when most of the students send their lists in).

Does anyone think this could be a potential problem and if so, when would be the last date you would take it? My school said we should take it by Dec. 1st, but I don't think that will work too well in my schedule...any thoughts would be appreciated! 😎
