Hi,

Im curious if anyone knows how long Vanderbilt will be taking before notifying applicants? I went for my interview at the end of October so I reckon Ill be waiting for a bit, but anyone heard from them recently, and if so, when did you interview?

I haven't heard anything from them yet and I interviewed October 15th. I think that they might not even be through September yet but I thought they were at least sending another round of acceptances soon. I checked mdapplicants.com like the type A personality I am and it didn't look like anyone has gotten in there in the past several weeks...so i wouldn't worry too much

I interviewed on Sept. 17th and was accepted on Nov. 1.

yay, congrats magerita! That is a pretty long wait however; i reckon ill be waiting even longer since things slow down the later one gets; My interview was late Oct. so I guess im looking at mid-december perhaps. I really liked the school more than I thought I would so it would be nice to hear something positive from them; my interview went decent, not great, but my stats and essays are objectively strong. Well congrats!

It seems that most people last year got in after about a month. Those that get waitlisted often have to wait about two months. Most accepted hear quickly. Not to burst any bubbles.

What do you mean that waitlisted people had to wait about two months? Does the adcom look at waitlist candidates before may 15? I am just really confused by this. Also, do you know approx. how many are accepted off the waitlist?

Not sure how the adcom evaluates waitlistees...but I think about 30 were accepted off the waitlist last year. Hope that helps!

yes, perhaps this is true but like with the poster above, margerita, she heard after a month and a half. So at least its a bit of reassurance to not start tripping once you hit the 1 month mark 🙂

I had my interview at the end of October, and Ms. Washington said everyone should find out in January because the admissions is falling behind.
