Step II How long/much to study for Step 2 CS?

Hello,

I'm a US 4th year med student taking Step 2 CS in Atlanta on Dec 1. How much or how long do I need to study to be absolutely sure of passing? I've been on IM subspecialty consult rotations for the last couple of months. I bought First Aid for CS but haven't looked at it yet. How many times did people read it? How long does it take to read it? Do I need to do anything else - practice, etc? Thanks!

Then you've already studied enough.

just use the practice CD they send you. It will help you become familiar with the format. I used first aid for CS and mainly used the DDX part just as a review for about 2 hours the night before. I probably could have shown up to take the test without study but my natural test anxiety forces me to study a little bit. Good luck
