How long to hear back from NJMS post-interview?

Took me a solid 8 weeks. You'll get a phone call if you get in from Dr. Heinrich. As far as I can tell all committee meetings are on a thursday. So, on a thursday 5-8 weeks after your interview you'll be looked at. By the following Tuesday you'll have gotten a call if you were accepted. If not... a letter .

what about waitlists? will they likely do that for most in-state interviewees who weren't accepted and did well at the interview?

I got waitlisted last year. It was my understanding that the waitlist isn't even formulated until after May 15th (no high priority list at NJMS).

And in my experience very few people get flat rejected.... although the waitlist apparently moved very little last year... and hasn't moved too much in recent years.

So...out of curiosity, and in case anyone is awake just now...

If Heinrich calls you and leaves a voicemail to call him back but doesn't tell you anything in his message, he isn't calling to reject you, is he?

lol..no the only wat u can get accepted into NJMS is a phone call by heinrich....i highly doubt he calls to reject...in fact he doesnt cuz i remember he told us once. did u get a message?????

he left a message to call him back this morning. he didn't really say much on his message except the number to call him back at...fingers crossed...will call in about an hour!

That happened to me for another school. I'm sure it's an acceptance. Congratulations! To answer the OP, 3.5 weeks. He called me 9:30pm on a Sunday night.

it was good .... just include that if accepted u would like to start canceling interviews at other school....thats only if u really want to go here.......but otherwise wat i PMed me is fine....
