How long to schedule interviews?

Hey dudes/ettes,
Once you're granted an interview, how long do you have to schedule it? Thanks, peace!

its good if you schedule it ASAP, but the longest period of time I have heard of was 2 weeks.

One more question...so the advise people give about getting plane tickets at least three weeks early doesn't really apply?

I think the above poster interpreted your question as "After you get an interview offer, how long do you have to respond?" The correct answer to that is usually about 2-3 weeks.

However, when you are given an interview, you will either be given a choice of dates or a specific date (that you may be able to reschedule). You will usually have well over three weeks to make plans, but occasionally, you might be given a last-minute interview.
