How long to wait after post-doc interview

How long do you typically wait after a post-doc interview to see if you received an offer or were rejected? I had one recently and they said they will be in touch soon. Not sure how long "soon" is 😉

Unfortunately, like many things in this process, I think it varies site to site. I had a friend get an offer 48 hours after her interview. I waited weeks to hear back from one of my sites with an offer. When will the ambiguity end?!

Agreed; it's highly variable. If it were me, I'd probably wait two weeks, then email and ask when they expect to make a decision or if I'm still under consideration.

that was usually my last interview question....they usually say '2-3 weeks' to check references blah blah....i have found that when they say '2-3' days, they mean they selected you...

Is it not an APPA CAS site?!? If so, I thought they're all saying March 8th or whatever that magic day is.
Oh goodness...and I thought SDN would help my insomnia tonight.

Most of my sites are APPA CAS, but I still was told "we are TRYING to hold out until UND, but will most likely make offers earlier." So now, I'm sort of waiting and seeing when "earlier" would be.
