Hey guys and gals,
Anyone know what the etiquite is for this?

I would like to have a few more interview letters before I decide on a date, but then again, I'm sure their dates fill up quickly.

Opinions?

block off a certain period, I suggest mid Dec and beginning Jan for the interviews that you want the most, i.e. what you think your top choices are. Then schedule interviews as they come, leaving the less desirable ones toward the end or the beginning. This way, the beginner ones are for practice, and the end ones you can always cancel with plenty of time left in case you have too many or you run out of steam with interviews. Do beware of weather, i.e schedule northern places in november and avoid dec, jan, feb snowstorms if you can.

Some of your more sought after programs may fill up by the time you get your letter or shortly thereafter. I know this took place last year. I would call the same day. You can allways call back and switch the date if you have to for whatever reason. Programs understand that some things change.

If the program fills by the time I'm invited, will they still allow me to schedule one later if someone cancels? If so, does that mean calling them every day to check?

Yes

I don't think every day is appropriate but you will have to remind them.
