i want to start this thread because i want to know how many AP students are placed per year in US. i heard this year 700+ people applied Upenn, and i guess anyone who wants to get into this program will send one package to Upenn. so, if we have, let's say 800 applicants per year, then how many are admitted? if we could figure out the percentage, we will understand how tough the competition is and have an idea of where we are standing. as you can see, i don't have enough knowledge on most schools, so your input is very valuble to make it happen. please cut and reply and add the number of seats for the schools if you know anything about it. if i miss any school, you are more than welcome to add in more. thanks

Yes. They operate a space based program, where they would fill empty seats (spots) left open by the freshmen, in the sophmore class/2nd year, with foreign graduates if and when they do become available.
I was waitlisted there last year, however, they did not have ANY seats. I was informed that it will probably be that way this year too. They usually have a good idea by late March/early April.
Good Luck.

UF (University of Florida): Upto 2 spots in the DMD class, 12 for the FTD certificate program
Marquette: SBP (Space Based Program)

WOW!
What an amazing post ! This is like striking gold for anyone out there looking into advanced standing programs or any of you out there who can't make up your mind 🙄.
For the most part of it, I found DDSFIGHT's input to be pretty accurate and consistent with what I have heard.
I will also just take the time to edit/update UF and UOP's information based on my own experience and add University of Colorado.

UF (Univeristy of Florida):
Advanced standing DMD;
Stats: UPTO 2 / DMD / 4 (yes,4) / Part I %75 / 213(CBT) or 80(IBT) / FL Residents $18,000, NON-FL Residents $45,000

http://www.dental.ufl.edu/Offices/Admissions/FTD/4_Year.html
FTD Certificate;
Stats: 12 / FTD Certificate / 2 / Part I & II %75 / 213(CBT) or 80(IBT) / FL Residents $18,000, NON-FL Residents $45,000
Selection process: Interview, followed by MANDATORY clinical exam.

http://www.dental.ufl.edu/Offices/Admissions/FTD/2_Year.html

Pros: Great school, strong clinicals, can't beat FL sushine, Gainesville was once rated as THE most "livable" city in the USA.
Cons (both programs):
Staff are a little bit stuck up, Green card/Citizenship REQUIRED, FL residency PREFERRED, 2 YR FTD Certificate (limited licensure), 4 (!!!!!!!) YR DMD

CU (Colorado University)
Stats: 20 / DDS / 2 YR / Part I %75 (Although not required, Part II will give you preference over other applicants) / 237(CBT) or 95(IBT) / Roughly $150,000
Selection process: Interview followed by MANDATORY clinical exam.
Pros: 2YR program, good school reputation, brand new facilities (new Aurora campus), excellent location, small class size.
Cons: New program (3 years), interview was quite unprofessional.

NOTE: Application deadline just moved to January 31st from March 31st.

UOP (University Of the Pacific)
Stats: 21 / DDS / 2 Yrs / Part I 80 / 237(CBT) / 200K / 22K
Selection Process 2006: Interview, followed by MANDATORY clinical exam.
