MSAR says Mayo extends 500 interview offers for 43 spots. Sounds like a pretty low chance to make a trip to Rochester.

I'm pretty sure it's 500 offers to fill out the secondary form, the actual number of interviews is more like 125 I think for 42 spots (MD only this year).

I'm pretty sure the number of interview slots is 250-300 for 42 MD positions. At the interview, they quoted like 270 interviews last year, but I'm not sure if they were all MD-only or some were MD PhD.

According to US News, last year Mayo interviewed 329 people and accepted 70; 43 enrolled.

actually it's 42 MD, 6 MD/PhD, 2 MD/Dental <- increase in class size this year to 50 total
